Dear Intercessor,
welcome at the (prayer-) hub of the European Union!
This homepage is to be a testimony of how God directs us and provides for things to happen. You are invited to hear the details of how a prayer meeting is coming into being, which was neither intended nor have we seen its full extent yet. We have only set about to do what God has told us. Would you like to join us?
„...In the awareness of his responsibility in front of God and people… "
These words are the beginning of the preamble of Germany’s constitution. Obviously it was important to the politicians of that time to establish German law with regard to God. Nowadays we must ask whether the citizens of Germany – especially the Christians – are still aware of this responsibility.
We are extremely busy with all kinds of work to do, school, our profession and family, etc. Since there is no time left for anything else, we start overlooking or repressing alarming developments that are taking place at a local, federal and European level in our society. Topics like the right for abortion, gender mainstreaming, legalization and protection of unscriptural living, rejection of a reference to God in the European constitution (in spite of the fact that Europe is the Christian occident) are being discussed relatively openly. Under the guise of tolerance and liberalism our basic values are slowly being softened until they are finally suppressed. Whoever risks to raise his voice to name the lost and question these new achievements will finally be ostracized and – if required with the power of the law – subjugated according to the “wish of the silent majority”…
„…Who sleeps in democracy will wake up in dictatorship …“
This quotation of Goethe characterizes the present situation in Europe quite accurately. But how are we to assume responsibility? The Bible tells us in 1st Tim. 2,1-6.
1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone. 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men – the testimony given in is proper time.
