The Center of the European Union …    

…is located at the border of a field. The city has erected a modern memorial stone there. It’s a round stone with the names of all member countries inscribed and earth from all of those countries put into it.

The actual center consists of a metal plate and from this plate to the border of the stone directions to the member countries of the EU have been enchased. A dove with an olive branch in its beak is shown on the metal plate. Such a dove is the symbol of peace, but for us Christians it is the sign of the Holy Spirit. Noah sent out a dove and it came back with such an olive branch in its beak as a sign for the new life God would create on earth. At this point it became clear to us that we should occupy this place for God with our prayers to give a sign to the visible and invisible world.

We have recognized what is to be done. The Lord has shown us that we should have a prayer event at the center of the EU on the day of the European elections (7.6.) during the open hours of the polling stations.
